Red Carpet Chemistry in Beverly Hills
Hannah Waddingham brought high energy and plenty of laughter to the red carpet at the Women In Film Honors held in Beverly Hills. Arriving at the star-studded gala, the Ted Lasso actress was in high spirits as she flashed a playful sign of the horns gesture before sharing a warm hug and bursts of laughter with fellow icon Sharon Stone.
The red carpet encounter showcased a delightful bond between the two performers, drawing considerable attention from photographers and attendees alike as they posed together ahead of the main ceremony.
Sartorial Choices at the Gala
For the glamorous evening, Waddingham chose a striking backless turquoise satin gown featuring a plunging V-neckline. She elevated her look with classic black heels and accessorized with bold, chunky gold earrings that complemented her radiant appearance.
Meanwhile, Sharon Stone opted for an equally striking outfit, wearing a sleek black leather trench dress paired with dark tights and large statement earrings that added to her sensational red carpet presence.
Accepting the Crystal Award
The celebrations continued inside the Beverly Hilton, where Golden Globe and Emmy winner Sharon Stone took to the stage to present Waddingham with the Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV.
Waddingham delivered a heartfelt and humorous acceptance speech during the event, which also honored several other notable figures across the entertainment industry for their achievements and philanthropic work.
Honoring Other Industry Trailblazers
The Women In Film Honors evening recognized multiple influential women for their contributions to cinema and television. Among them, Adria Arjona was presented with the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award.
Additional accolades included Gemma Chan and Beth de Araújo receiving the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film for their work on Josephine, while Salma Hayek Pinault accepted the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award directly from Jane Fonda.
Turning Down Celebrity Traitors
During her broader media appearances, Waddingham revealed that she was previously approached to star in the inaugural UK season of the reality television spin-off Celebrity Traitors, fronted by Claudia Winkleman.
Though her Ted Lasso co-star Nick Mohammed was participating, she ultimately declined the offer, admitting she was too frightened of the show's intense theatrical elements, such as the hoods and simulated burials, preferring instead to watch from home.
Reflecting on Tom Cruise's Famous Gift
In another lighthearted interview moment, Waddingham discussed receiving Tom Cruise's legendary festive gift: the famous White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake baked by Doan's Bakery in Woodland Hills.
Admitting she had received the coveted holiday treat three times, she joked that the rich dessert with its cream cheese frosting and toasted coconut had ruined all other cakes for her.
A Close Call With Royalty
Waddingham also shared a humorous anecdote regarding Prince William and his Earthshot Prize initiative. During a casual engagement involving a game of darts and cider, she nearly made a costly mistake.
She recounted how she accidentally came close to hitting the future king of England in the foot with a dart, leaving her in a flustered mess on the floor even though the two share a good rapport.
