Fans of Pretty Little Liars have a fresh reason to celebrate this holiday season as former co-stars Lucy Hale and Ian Harding share the screen once more. The duo takes the lead in Hulu's upcoming romantic comedy feature, bringing familiar chemistry back to viewers.
The project places Hale in the spotlight as Christina Walker, a dedicated shop owner whose relentless focus on career growth left her personal romantic life far behind.
A High-Stakes Holiday Promise
Following another Christmas Eve spent without a romantic partner, Christina decides she must overhaul her approach before the next holiday season rolls around. This resolution prompts an unusual intervention from her close friend, who devises a demanding challenge.
To break her single streak, Christina commits to going on twelve separate dates over the course of twelve weeks in hopes of finding a genuine connection ahead of Christmas Eve.
Disastrous Encounters and Hilarious Dates
The newly dropped trailer provides a comedic look at the series of awkward and disastrous encounters that follow. Nine months prior to the holiday deadline, her friend Molly checks in to set the challenge into motion.
The subsequent dates feature a string of eccentric personalities, including a suitor who orders food for Christina and offers her an edible, another who attempts to livestream their outing, and a date who ends up getting arrested.
Peculiar Companions and Exhausting Trials
Other prospective suitors complicate matters further by bringing unexpected guests along to their outings, ranging from parents and dogs to a ventriloquist's dummy.
Growing thoroughly exhausted by the chaotic experiment, Christina begins questioning why she is putting herself through such frustrating dating ordeals.
A Turning Point With Peter Grant
The narrative shifts direction when Christina crosses paths with Peter Grant, portrayed by Ian Harding, bringing an intriguing new dynamic to her romantic pursuits.
This meeting offers a stark contrast to her previous misadventures, setting up the central romance of the holiday feature.
